“A Step Forward and Upward” – game-based teaching and stress management
Project: “A Step Forward and Upward”, 2022-1-BG01-KA122-ADU-000073111
Total funding: EUR 4,380
In 2022–2023, Easy English language centre carried out the Erasmus+ project “A Step Forward and Upward”. The aim was to build new skills in game-based teaching and to learn techniques for managing stress and preventing burnout.
Our first participant travelled to Corfu, Greece, for a course on “Teaching Through Games”, discovering many practical ideas for teaching English and bringing a range of game-based methods into our lessons.
Our second participant attended a course in Tenerife, Spain, on “Stress Management and Burnout Prevention”, learning techniques for reducing stress at work, prioritising tasks to avoid overload, and breathing exercises for relaxation.
Easy English Ltd also took part in a job-shadowing visit to a language centre in Bratislava, Slovakia – observing lessons and discussing with colleagues the techniques, methods and strategies used to prepare students for Cambridge exams. This was especially valuable for developing our staff and programmes.
Erasmus+ gave us the chance to grow as teachers and as people. Thanks to this project we feel well prepared for the challenges of our profession – motivated and full of ideas.
